The American-Lao Business Association (ALBA) is looking for talented students, recent graduates, and emerging professionals who want to learn, contribute, and gain real-world experience in international business, trade, investment, and communications.
At ALBA, you won’t be stuck doing the same task every day. Our work is wide-ranging and fast-moving—you won’t be bored. You may spend one day researching an emerging industry in Laos, the next creating a newsletter, supporting an event, producing a short video, or helping develop content for an ALBA publication
What You May Work On
Research & Market Intel
Research sectors, companies, industries, trade trends, investment opportunities, and developments in Laos, the U.S., and ASEAN.
Newsletters & Publications
Help research, write, edit, and produce ALBA newsletters, business updates, reports, and special publications.
Social Media & Content Creations
Develop creative posts, short videos, reels, interviews, event highlights, and other digital content.
International Trade & Business
Learn how companies enter markets, build partnerships, trade across borders, and identify investment opportunities.
Events & Networking Support
Support business forums, workshops, networking events, visiting delegations, and ALBA programs.
Business Communications
Help communicate ALBA’s work, member activities, business opportunities, and developments across our network.

You don’t need to be told what to do every minute\. You see something that needs to be done and take initiative.
Got Good Language Skills?
Strong English and/or Lao communication skills are valuable. Candidates who can work comfortably in both Lao and English are especially encouraged to apply.
